The Invisibles - the best of an amazing bunch from Vertigo
The Invisibles very much follows in the footsteps of luminary literary greats like HP Lovecraft (there is more to the universe than you know). I love the madcap jambalaya of urban myth, conspiracy theory, spirtualism, voodoo, black magic, technomancy etc. etc.
Other ongoing vertigo titles of equal merit:

Transmetropolitan - gonzo journalism meets cyberpunk
Preacher - blasphemy on an epic scale
Swamp Thing
Doom Patrol
Animal Man
Books of Magic - I can't believe what a pathetic knock-off all that Henry Potter shit is.

Visible invisible
I still go back and re-read this series every few years. Morrison's dream and vision of revolution is the best written in comic book format. I did like the various artists used, the strengths of each adding to the facets of the series. I still remember the group wank-a-thon Morrison tried to organize out of the Invisibles letters page, a group spell at a set time, to dream this series through. - Vaughn , posted 10/25/06

The best comic written. Ever.
I mean it. This comic changed my life & philosophy. I want to havelike ten thousand of Grant Morrison's babies. And that's not just because he's brilliant... he's also hot. - Jenn , posted 10/25/06

Sweet Story A Modern Hero's Tale
Well I grew up reading my best friends were books, and animals. When I realized I could sing in a thrash metal band I started
hanging out with the cool kids.
The Characters in this graphic novel remind me of my best friends. The story pits the children of light and the children of darkness. It's kind of a war scroll. The only drawback is that the author of the story chose to use different artists for each issue.
My friend Lulu gave me my first copy...her inscription was something like this, "Pass this story along when your done with it, blow bottle rockets out yer ass! start a revolution!" - joshua , posted 10/25/06
