A revealing view of being an intelligent american youth, in an unintelligent society.
I love to read novels it somehow allows me to reflect on the nuiscance and mishaps of living. A well written novel lures me through the story to it's ending. Two of the last novels I read that I really enjoyed were, "Deadeye Dick" and "A Confederacy of Dunces", looking for a similar anti-hero type character. I found Nick Twisp.
Through the normal landscape of upper lower class america we find our beloved unknown genius of a character toiling with benality and seeking to loose his virginity.
Without going to far into anything, the book entails almost 500 pages, the book features an amazing journey, out of adolesence into young manhood. I urge anyone with a bit of leisure time and a love for a good story to pursue this book. - joshua , posted 06/07/07
